1st day
Arrival and accommodation in Sofia. A walking city
tour during which you will see St. Alexander Nevsky’s
Cathedral, St. Sophia’s Church that gave its name to
the city, the Parliament, St. Nicholas’ Russian church,
St. George’s Rotunda, the Banya Bashi Mosque built
in 16th century. Dinner at a traditional Bulgarian
restaurant. Overnight in Sofia.
2nd day
Breakfast. A trip to the mountain town of
Koprivshtitsa with a visit to the local museums.
Leaving for Hissarya. Visit to the Thracian
archeological complex of Starosel along the way.
Overnight and dinner in Hissarya.
3rd day
Breakfast. Leaving for the town of Karlovo and a visit
to the house of Vassil Levski. Traveling further to
Kalofer to visit the house of Hristo Botev, then to
Kazanlak. Overnight and dinner in Kazanlak.
4th day
Breakfast. A tour of the town with a visit to the
Thracian tomb and the Ethnographic complex where
you can try the local rose jam. Leaving for Plovdiv.
Walking tour of the old part of the city with a visit to
the Ethnographic museum. Dinner at a traditional
Bulgarian restaurant with local music and dances.
Overnight in Plovdiv.
5th day
Breakfast. Leaving for Bansko with a visit to the
Bachkovo monastery along the way. Arrival at the
accommodation in Bansko. A walking tour of the old
part of the town with a visit to Velyan’s house and
Holy Trinity’s church. A trip to Dobarsko and a visit to
St. Theodore Tyron and Theodore Stratelates’
church. Dinner and overnight in Bansko.
6th day
Breakfast. Leaving for Sofia with a visit to the Rila
Monastery along the way. Lunch at a restaurant by
the Rilska river. Traveling to Sofia. Visit to the
Boyana church. Overnight in Sofia.
7th day
Breakfast. Free time and transfer to the airport. End
of the tour.
